Social blogmarking is an important step in boosting your Internet presence. Blogmarking sites such as Technorati.com are used by Google and other search engines to verify information about your site and blog. The social blogmarking sites , especially Technorati, also play an important role in the calculation of your page rank.
Google will check wether your blog (RSS_Feed) is included in Technorati and it’s “Authority” level.

Go to Technorati.com and sign up.

Technorati will give you a URL with your username once you are set-up. Therefore you want to use a “username” that contains the “brand” you want to establish.  Search engines and directories will later on find and recognize the page and will list it when your “brand” is being searched for.

Technorati will put a “no follow” on all links you add to your profile:
<a href=“http://www.gaidaphotos.com” rel=“nofollow”>http://www.gaidaphotos.com</a>
But not to the links to your blogs and/or the URLs you can add to your blog description.

Evevn if your backlinks from Technorati have limited value, the fact that your RSS Feed is listed is a big plus. And you will also get referral visitors from Technorati, wether they are searching for your “brand” or your keywords.
